Blue Chip Cookies Direct Shipping Policy
We have an excellent record on delivery, 98.7% within our 2-3 day goal.  During unique times such as holidays and high volume shipping times, we have found that our shipping vendors are stretched, so please understand it might take an extra day out of our control.  Due to the products are perishable and food, our policy is all sales are final. However, at Blue Chip Cookies, we will do everything we can to create an excellent "sweet experience" for you. This commitment to excellence drives our customer service policies and process.

If we are out of stock on particular flavors, we will substitute one flavor as long as it is close to the original order. For example, Chocolate Chip, we might put in Milk Chocolate Chip or Chocolate Chip M&M, or Sugar Sprinkle substituted with Sugar Old Fashioned or Sugar Sprinkle Iced.  We will hold the shipping for more than two flavors until we can bake the balance of your order.  
  • Our Core Shipping Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday for delivery by Friday.  On Thursday, we ship for Saturday delivery to only residential addresses using FedEx Home Delivery or FedEx Express.
  • We give our customers our best shipping price. Our goal is to work with our shipping vendors to deliver you cookies within 1-3 shipping days by FedEx 2 Day Air or FedEx Ground or FedEx Home, USPS Priority Mail.  We reserve the right to change the service based on meeting our delivery guidelines and delaying our shipping vendors' issues.
  • For all boxes under 13 ounces, we use USPS First Class Mail.
  • A signature is NOT required when delivering; if you want this service, please write "signature required" in the comments box during checkout. There will be an additional $3.00 charge.
  • We send a confirmation email to you after your order is submitted online; please be sure all information is correct, including residential or commercial addresses.
  • Shipping charges will be applied if incorrect for residential or other requests.
  • The 2nd email with a tracking number will be sent to you when your "Cookie Order" 2 hours before shipping, which gives you the ability to know when your package is on the way. This 2nd email also provides a 2nd opportunity to change your order if the information is not correct.
  •  If you are shipping to a University, Office Building, Senior Assisted Living, or Hospital, where there is a mail center, you will need to alert the organization that your package is coming proactively. Please be sure that the address is correct.  
  • If you are shipping to a business, we recommend you do so on a Monday or Tuesday to prevent packages from sitting at the company over the weekend.  
  • Please understand certain shipping situations we cannot be held responsible for, but we will do everything possible to deliver your cookies in our "fresh" window of 3 days:
    • Incorrect/wrong addresses
    • Bad weather
    • Rural locations that extend travel
    • Issues with FedEx, USPS that beyond our control, for example, weather, accidents, COVID19, 
    • Recipients not at the site, moved, no longer at a company.
    • City apartments or condos that have a bellman or receiving department.
    • The business closed for a holiday or permanently.
    • Plane delays by shipper
    • Military addresses
    • Problems not related to or caused by Blue Chip Cookies
    • Company pick-up vs. direct deliver
    • Delay in eating cookies upon receipt and not following the instructions on the packing slip.
    • Cookies sent to someone out-of-town, mail-room delays (offices, universities, hospitals), and if the recipient is not aware of a gift arriving.
    • We will ship internationally and the military as a special request.  Each country is different in the customs process and costs; please call us to place an order.
