Shipping & Handling Policy
  • Core Shipping Days: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
  • Thursday:  We will ship Express packages, Saturday Residential Delivery and packages must be received by Friday or Saturday.
  • Friday: We do not ship on Fridays, unless special arrangements are made for overnight delivery.
  • Saturday: We will ship USPS for Monday delivery, special request must be made.

Providing you with the best experience with ordering and shipping your cookies is paramount to being the Best Gourmet Cookie Company online, mail order and internet. Our shipping and handling policy is driven by our focus on delivering excellence and that our cookies are considered a perishable product.   Key elements of our shipping policy:
  • FEDEX is our primary shipper.
  • USPS is our secondary.
  • PERISHIP, A FEDEX Partner specializes in perishable shipping, to ensure all packages are arrive on time and with excellence.
  • We ship to continental United States, including Hawaii and Alaska using USPS.
  • We will ship to P.O. boxes using USPS.
  • We will ship internationally, as a special request.  Each country is different on customs.  We are not responsible if they are held up in customs.  The customer takes this risk.  Please call to place the order.  Please call to place the order. We will not ship during holiday season.
  • A signature is NOT required when delivering,  if you want a signature required please write "signature required" in the comments box during checkout. There will be an additional $3.50 charge.
  • Blue Chip Cookies have no preservatives. We recommend eating within 2 days upon receipt or freezing within 2 days.
  • If you want your cookies on a specific date we recommend that you order 1-2 day earlier to leave plenty of time or upgrade to overnight/express delivery, especially during holidays.  We cannot guarantee arrival on your preferred date unless you use overnight services, however we have 98.5% delivery on time.
  • A confirmation email will be sent to you right after your order is submitted, please be sure all information is correct, including residential or commercial addresses.  Shipping charges will be applied if incorrect for residential or other requests.
  • A 2nd email with a tracking number will be sent to you when your Cookie Order is being baked and prepared for shipping, which gives you the ability to know when your package arrives. This is a 2nd opportunity to make changes to your order if information is not correct as we are in preparation mode.
  •  If you are shipping to a University, Office Building, Senior Assisted Living or Hospital, where there is a mail center, you will need to proactively alert the organization that your package is coming. Please be sure that the address is correct.  
  • If you are shipping to a business, we recommend you do so on a Monday or Tuesday, in order to prevent packages from sitting at the business over the weekend.
  • Please understand once our gourmet cookies are placed in the shipping system, the shipping is out of our control and in FEDEX or USPS control.  Blue Chip Cookies Direct can only tell you the anticipated arrival based on our tracking data from our shippers, which is provided to you. We do not guarantee shipment arrival dates or times, we simply try to meet those based on information we have and communicate with you on any issues proactively. Please be sure your recipient is aware the perishables are coming.
  • We will make minor substitution if we do not have a cookie flavor available, unless you specify not to make substitutions. This is highly unusual, since we bake every day we ship.  This might delay your orders shipment up to 1 or 2 days. During non-peak time/non holiday periods, we will try to call prior to shipping.
We do everything we can to make it a great and sweet experience.  Please note, if you are shipping on Thursday, we recommend ONLY shipping to major metro areas to arrive for Saturday delivery and Residential Addresses ONLY.

Blue Chip Cookies overall policy is all orders are final and no reships/refunds on orders due to: incorrect/wrong addresses, weather, rural locations that extend travel, recipients not at location, shipper issues, no forwarding address, plane delays by shipper, problems not related to or caused by Blue Chip Cookies, company pick-ups vs. direct deliver, delay in eating cookies upon receipt, cookies sent to someone who is out-of-town, mail room delays in offices, universities, hospitals, etc...
